A man is dead after a shooting took place Friday at the McDonald’s near Highway 19E in Hampton, Tennessee.
Carter County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene around 4:25 p.m. They found a deceased white male and the suspected shooter still in the parking lot.
Sheriff Dexter Lunceford confirmed that his deputies have taken the suspect into custody. He said the suspect surrendered to deputies when they arrived on scene.
The investigation is still ongoing. We will release more information as we are able.
