Deputies Arrest Four in Armed Burglary

Deputies with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office have arrested four suspects in connection with an armed burglary that took place on Melody Lane Saturday.

35-year-old Crystal Gail Rainbolt and 38-year-old Adam Carl Hinkle have been charged with aggravated assault, especially aggravated burglary, and criminal trespass. 41-year-old Tina Denise Rainbolt and 39-year-old Joseph Wade Hill were also arrested and charged with unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon.

Deputies responded to a call of a break-in and attempted shooting around 7:40 p.m. at a house on Melody Lane. The caller, Hill, said that two people had broken into his home with a crowbar and tried to shoot him. Deputies found Hinkle and Crystal Rainbolt still inside the house and arrested them.

Upon searching the home, deputies discovered a .22 caliber revolver and a 7.62 semi-automatic rifle. Tina Rainbolt and Hill were then arrested for unlawful weapon possession.

All four suspects are currently being held in the Carter County Detention Center. Crystal Rainbolt and Hinkle are being held on a $9,000 bond each, and Tina Rain Bolt and Hill are being held on a $1,500 bond each.
