A Carter County man is in jail after Sheriff’s deputies arrested him for holding 10 people hostage Friday, including five juveniles.
Deputies were called to a house on Renfro Road where residents said 21-year-old Jordan Robert Reece had held them at gunpoint from around 12:30 a.m. through the rest of the morning. Two of the residents were able to leave after Reece fell asleep and contacted law enforcement around 1 p.m. Deputies then went to the home and arrested Reece.
Reece is facing one charge of Aggravated Kidnapping and one charge of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping. He is being held in the Carter County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
