Carter County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Joshua Adam Hill, Sr. Tuesday after investigators uncovered evidence that he raped a juvenile.
Deputies responded to a call at Sycamore Shoals Hospital on April 1. Based on evidence and statements from a juvenile victim, investigators obtained and executed a search warrant for Hill’s residence, where they recovered further evidence that corroborated the victim’s statement.
Investigators presented the evidence before criminal court on May 10, and an arrest warrant was issued for Hill. He was arrested on May 14 on two counts of aggravated rape and is being held in the Carter County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
Hill was previously arrested in 2018 for reckless endangerment, but the charges were dismissed.
